CHANNEL MARKETING SIGNS AGREEMENTS IN THE COMMONWEALTH
 OF INDEPENDENT STATES
DALLAS, Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Channel Marketing Corp. has recently signed agreements with clients in the Commonwealth of Independent States. The agreements call for various types of consulting arrangements that will match the needs of large institutional concerns in the former Soviet Union with suppliers of goods and services in the United States and Europe.
In recent discussions with personnel in the Ministry of Trade, Channel Marketing's CMC International division was offered the opportunity to be the first American company to open a hard currency department store in Kazakhstan. CMC International is now in discussions with potential joint venture partners in the United States who are interested in opening this area of the world to United States goods. Currently only domestic and Chinese stores exist in this republic; however, there is a large demand for United States products by wealthy Kazakhs and by foreigners living and working in the region.
In addition to the contracts within the Commonwealth, Channel Marketing works with clients in Australia, Saudi Arabia and western Europe. In mid September the company will open affiliate offices in the United Kingdom and Australia to better serve its international clientele with local management in those countries.
Channel Marketing expanded into the international arena earlier this year at the request of its domestic clients. Many manufacturers have encountered declining market share, sales and profits within the United States; and they anticipate that new overseas markets will provide a boost for their companies.
"It is, therefore, only natural that Channel Marketing Corporation should expand into international markets as well," said Merridee Matson, president of CMC International. "We see a huge international demand for products made in America. U.S. manufacturers with high quality products, from consumer goods to computers, can be successful in almost any foreign country if they have the right distribution channels and open minds."
Channel Marketing, headquartered in Dallas, is an international sales and marketing consulting firm that specializes in helping manufacturers increase sales by expanding channels of distribution for current products and assisting in bringing new products to market. Channel Marketing also works with large retailers in merchandising and selling products.
