CHANGE ROOM PEEPING TOM AVOIDS JAIL TERM.

Byline: By MIRROR REPORTER

NORTHERN Ireland's youngest convicted peeping Tom was spared jail yesterday because of his age.

Newtownards Magistrate Mark Hamill told 19-year-old Scott Wright he "didn't want an act committed as a 17-year-old to blight your life".

Wright, from Ardcarn Drive, East Belfast - who was convicted of spying on a young mum as she was about to dress in the communal changing rooms of Newtownards Leisure Centre on July 24 last year - was instead given 10 months probation.

The young mum had told the court how she was sitting on her towel in the cubical when she happened to look down and "his eyes were looking up at me".
