CHAMBERS TO APPEAL WEST VIRGINIA COURT DECISION

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Chambers Development Company, Inc., (AMEX: CDV) said that it intends to file an appeal concerning the ruling issued today by the Circuit Court of Berkeley County, West Virginia, requiring Chambers' landfill in Hedgesville, West Virginia, to obtain site approval from the Berkeley County Solid Waste Management Authority.
Company officials said that as permitted in the court ruling the landfill will remain open and fully operational pending filing of the company's appeal, which it expects to do shortly.
The company has said it believes it has a strong basis and grounds to file the appeal. With its appeal, the company intends to seek a continued stay of the order, which would allow the landfill to remain open beyond the filing of the appeal.
Chambers Development Company, Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, is a leading environmental services firm involved in landfill, transfer station and recycling operations, as well as the collection, transportation and disposal of residential, commercial, non-hazardous industrial and medical wastes.
