CHAMBERS RAISES $250,000 FOR CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
 PITTSBURGH, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Surpassing last year's total

by 25 percent, Chambers Development Company, Inc., (AMEX: CDVB) its president, John G. Rangos Sr., and its employees today presented a check for $250,000 to Pittsburgh's Children's Hospital.
The money was raised through Chambers' annual riverboat "Cruise for Kids" that was held aboard the Gateway Clipper Fleet's Majestic earlier this year. In addition, Chambers employees sponsored a spaghetti dinner and held several raffles to help raise additional funds.
Rangos presented the check at the Rangos Research Center to Edwin K. Zechman Jr., president of Children's Hospital.
"I want to salute and congratulate the people of western Pennsylvania, the Pittsburgh corporate community, and most importantly my employees for helping us exceed last year's total by $47,000," Rangos said. "No matter what circumstances or economic conditions exist, people always open their hearts for the kids. And because of everyone's outstanding efforts, many children will now be able to receive the health care they so desperately need."
Zechman was grateful for the company's fundraising effort. "We are deeply grateful to John Rangos and the employees of Chambers Development Company for their continuing support of the Children's Hospital Free Care Fund," Zechman said. "Their tremendous contributions over the past years have helped Children's Hospital to provide medical attention to those children in our communities who need it. John and the employees of Chambers truly epitomize the caring spirit of Pittsburgh."
A Pittsburgh Press Old Newsboy, Rangos and the company raised the most money of any business or organization for the hospital's Free Care Fund in 1989 and 1990. Since 1987, Chambers has raised more than $678,000 for Children's Hospital.
Rangos and Chambers have been supporters of Children's Hospital since the chairman devised a program to use recycled aluminum to fund the Free Care Fund at the hospital. He again spearheaded this year's "Cruise for Kids" campaign.
Chambers Development Company, Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, is a leading environmental firm offering services in recycling, transfer station operation and landfill development, as well as the collection, transportation and disposal of residential, commercial, non-hazardous industrial and medical solid wastes.
