CHAMBERS ISSUES STATMENT ON PASSAIC COUNTY, N.J., CONTRACT
PITTSBURGH, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Chambers Development Company, Inc. (AMEX: CDVA, CDVB) has been informed that the chairman of the Passaic County (N.J.) Utilities Authority has executed a memorandum of understanding with Empire Landfill in Taylor, Pa., for the transportation and disposal of waste.
The company is puzzled by Passaic's actions. Chambers has performed flawlessly in handling the county's waste for the past five years and fully expects to continue to provide the same reliable service for the next 10 years. Chambers has 10 years remaining on its 15-year contract with Passaic County. The company is prepared to take whatever actions are necessary to protect its valid, existing contract.
