CHAMBERS COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA COMPANY
PITTSBURGH, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Chambers Development Company, Inc. (AMEX: CDVA, CDVB), a leading national environmental services firm, said today it has completed the acquisition of the solid waste collection, hauling and recycling assets of Chrin, Inc., an eastern Pennsylvania company.
Chrin is located in the Lehigh Valley, near Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton, Pa., where it services residential, commercial and industrial non-hazardous solid waste generators. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
"We are pleased to expand our company's services into yet another market area of Pennsylvania," said Alexander Rangos, Chambers' executive vice president and chief operating officer. "Chrin is a well-established, fully integrated operation in Pennsylvania's fifth largest metropolitan market and we believe significant business expansion potential exists for us."
Chambers also has an outstanding definitive agreement reached last year to acquire certain parts of Chrin Bros. Landfill located in the same area. That acquisition remains conditional upon issuance by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources of the required permits, company officials said.
Chambers Development Company, Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, is a leading environmental firm offering services in recycling, transfer station operation and landfill development, as well as the collection, transportation and disposal of residential, commercial, non-hazardous industrial and medical solid wastes.
Chambers provides security services through its wholly owned subsidiary, Security Bureau, Inc., the 10th largest U.S. security firm.
