CHAMBERS ANNOUNCES CONTRACTS TOTALING $20 MILLION

 PITTSBURGH, April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Chambers Development Company, Inc. (AMEX: CDVA, CDVB) today announced that during the last four months it has signed contracts with terms of one to 10 years that total more than $20 million in expected revenues over their terms. The contracts are for waste collection, transportation and disposal.
 Among the contracts was a $10 million, 10-year contract award from Dorchester County, S.C. Also in South Carolina, Chambers was awarded contracts for Fairfield and Kershaw counties with expected revenues of $2.5 million. In Georgia, the company was awarded a three-year, $1 million contract for the community of Cedartown.
 In Pennsylvania, the company was awarded 18 municipal contracts extending over the next one to five years totaling $6.6 million.
 "We are continuing our aggressive sales and marketing efforts throughout the country and are focused on obtaining new special and municipal solid waste contracts," said John G. Rangos Sr., Chambers' president and CEO. "In 1992 Chambers began performance on 43 new municipal contracts. In just the first four months of 1993, Chambers has already started performance on 22 new municipal contracts throughout several states where we operate. We have also seen significant growth in our commercial and industrial business."
