CFM INTERNATIONAL SELECTS WICAT TO DEVELOP CFM-56-3C LINE MAINTENANCE COURSEWARE

OREM, Utah, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Wicat announced that it has been selected by CFM International, a 50/50 joint company of SNECMA (France) and General Electric (USA), to develop a comprehensive line maintenance course for the CFM56-3C engine as fitted to the Airbus A-340 aircraft.
The courseware will utilize high resolution 256 color graphics, interactive video, and digitized audio and will be delivered on standard AICC compatible workstations.
This is the second courseware development project undertaken by Wicat and CFM International and follows the successful CFM56-5A (Airbus A-320 engine) course.
CFM International will have a network of 10 Wicat workstations at the SNECMA Melun-Montereau Customer Training Center, delivering both engine courses.
Jean-Pierre Lamaison, CFM's customer training manager, commented, "We selected Wicat to work with us again on the A-340 engine project because of the high quality of their previous work on the CFM56-5A project. Their work with the world's major manufacturers is well known, and we felt secure in the knowledge that Wicat could provide us with the long-term support that is so essential in our industry."
Upon completion of the project, Wicat will market the course to other aircarriers worldwide.
Wicat Systems Inc., a Jostens Learning company and a subsidiary of Jostens Inc. (NYSE: JOS), is a world leader in technology-based training products and services. Jostens stock is traded on the NYSE under the symbol JOS.
