CFI PROSERVICES REACHES AGREEMENT IN PRINCIPLE FOR TWO MAJOR CONTRACTS

PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- CFI ProServices Inc. (NASDAQ: PROI) a leading supplier of software-based compliance products and services for the financial services industry, announced today that it has reached agreements in principle with two of the country's 20 largest banks. CFI will provide its Laser Pro loan documentation and compliance software for unlimited use for commercial, consumer and real estate lending to the customers' branch networks.
"Until the contracts are signed, we cannot disclose the details of either contract nor the parties involved," stated Matt Chapman, chairman and chief executive officer. "Nevertheless, because both customers have mentioned their intention to buy our products publicly, we felt obliged to alert our shareholders that these contracts are close to finalization."
Laser Pro is a PC-based software package that automates lending documentation and ensures compliance with all federal and state banking laws as well as a bank's internal lending policies. The dynamic forms are printed using a laser printer, completely eliminating the need for preprinted forms.
CFI PROSERVICES is a leading supplier of software-based compliance products and services to the financial services industry in the United States. The company's principal products include Laser Pro, Deposit Pro and the recently introduced Personal Branch.
