CFA to Hold 25th Anniversary Annual Meeting Celebration.

Held on May 25 at Queen's Landing, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada, CFA's annual meeting will include committee reports and updates on programs such as the Technology Road Map. Speakers at the meeting from outside the foundry industry will include Gerry Fedchun, Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Assn., and William Clarke, Canadian Dept. of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. Current AFS Vice President Don Gaertner, Metalcasting Equipment, Inc., also will address the delegates. The meeting will be chaired by Jeffrey Kershaw, ESCO, Ltd., Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. The anniversary celebration will be chaired by Clyde McBain, Ancast Industries, Ltd., Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Michael Promoli, Crowe Foundry, Ltd., Cambridge, Ontario, who both were founding fathers of the CFA and past presidents. This celebration will include dinner and entertainment. This event will set the stage for the next few years at CFA as it tackles the following issues: the Modern Foundry Technologies Institute; occupational s afety and health; energy management; environmental controls, including emissions control and spent foundry sand; and the Technology Road Map.
