CEUs for architects and designers on the use of hardwoods.

The Hardwood Research Council and the Hardwood Manufacturers Association have created two continuing education unit (CEU) articles for Architectural Record and Interiors & Sources magazines that allow architects and interior designers to earn required CEUs by displaying knowledge of the information contained in the article. After reading the article in Architectural Record, readers can visit the magazine's website for required additional reading and to answer 10 test questions drawn from the content of the article. If they pass the test, which is scored by the American Institute of Architects (AIA), they receive continuing education credit. Readers of the article in Interiors & Sources can follow a similar path to receive CEUs. The AIA-sanctioned CEU uses detailed examples to highlight construction uses for hardwoods, including effective use of hardwoods in tandem with geothermal radiant heating and combining hardwoods and copper in window cladding.
