CERIDIAN NAMES STEPHEN MORRIS NEW ARBITRON PRESIDENT

 MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 1 ~PRNewswire~ -- Ceridian Corporation (NYSE: CEN) announced that Stephen B. Morris has been named president of The Arbitron Company, effective today. He will report to Lawrence Perlman, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Ceridian.
 Arbitron, the world's largest syndicated audience measurement service, provides radio and television ratings research and advertising expenditure information to customers involved in broadcast advertising.
 Morris, 49, spent 18 years with the General Foods Corporation where he was president and general manager of the Maxwell House division. He then co-founded Spectra Marketing Systems, which provides micromarketing information services to consumer goods companies. Most recently, he was president and chief executive officer of VidCode, a media information company which tracks broadcast commercials and programming and integrates this information with other data.
 Morris holds a bachelor's degree from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

"His background combines consumer goods experience and entrepreneurial achievements in the services industry. These are significant strengths which will help Arbitron provide excellent service to its customers and grow in the marketing information services industry."
 Morris is succeeding Anthony J. (Rick) Aurichio, 56, who is retiring from Ceridian after 20 years with Arbitron. Perlman said, "Rick Aurichio has helped establish an exceptionally strong franchise in Arbitron's markets. Under his leadership, Arbitron has developed unique product offerings and important strategic alliances to offer a broad range of marketing information and media research services to broadcast markets."
