20 March 2015 - The CEO of Czech electrical company CEZ is eyeing possible acquisitions in the near future, according to an interview he gave to Hospodarske Noviny on Friday.

CEO Daniel Benes, in an interview with the paper's Vaclav Trejbal, said that CEZ is one of the least indebted major energy companies in Europe, and that he is considering some large acquisitions.

Specifically, Benes said that CEZ is discussing the purchase of Italian energy company Enel's share in a Slovak power company, and Swedish company Vattenfall's generating assets in Germany.

He also said that Enel wants to leave Slovakia mainly due to debt reduction.
