CENTURY CONTROLS ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT WITH TEXAS MANUFACTURER
ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Century Controls, Inc. of St. Paul, a manufacturer of microprocessor based controls for industrial and commercial boilers, has announced an agreement with Holman Boiler Works, Inc. of Dallas, a premier U.S. boiler manufacturer. Holman has developed a unique and comparatively inexpensive method of lowering oxides of nitrogen (NOx) which utilizes Century Controls' proprietary microprocessor technology to substantially reduce NOx emissions and promote higher boiler efficiency. In addition to complying with mandated NOx emission reductions, significant fuel savings are achieved.
Leo Christiansen, Century Controls, Inc. president, said there are an estimated 2,000,000 boilers in operation in North America, which could benefit from the new technology, with an estimated 5,000 new boilers installed each year which bodes extremely well for this new business venture. Further, he said that with the introduction of Century's new microprocessor based Sequencer, in addition to the new business through Holman, he anticipates Century Controls, Inc. revenues for its new fiscal year beginning March 1992 should increase three fold over 1991.
Century Controls, Inc. also announced they now have 12 OEM business relationships with the largest names in the boiler/burner and energy management industries.
Century Controls, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Century Controls International Inc., is traded on the NASDAQ Bulletin Board, symbol CYCO.
