CENTURY 21 GIVES $5 MILLION TO EASTER SEALS DURING TELETHON
IRVINE, Calif., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Through year-long fundraisers such as sports tournaments, auctions and collection drives, Century 21 Real Estate Corp. pledged $5 million to the National Easter Seal Society during its 1993 annual Telethon. It was the second largest single contribution to Easter Seals during this year's campaign. According to Century 21 Real Estate Corp. Senior Vice President of Advertising/Marketing Bruce Oselund, supporting persons with disabilities is a concern throughout the Century 21(R) system, which has almost 6,000 offices nationwide. "Easter Seals' mission of helping people become and remain independent is woven into our day-to-day corporate culture and all Century 21 activities -- from office meetings to annual conventions," Oselund said. This year's National Easter Seals Telethon raised $47,721,069 in pledges and contributions from individuals and corporate sponsors, exceeding last year's total of more than $46 million. The Century 21 system has contributed more to Easter Seals than any other corporate sponsor during the last 14 years -- more than $40 million total. -0- 3/18/93 /CONTACT: Sherry Bale or Steve Cindrich of Aaron D.
