CENTURA REPORTS COMPLETION OF STOCK OFFERING ROCKY MOUNT, N.C., Dec. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Centura Banks, Inc.
(NYSE: CBC) today announced the successful completion of a special stock offering in connection with the merger of Centura Bank and Citizens Federal Savings and Loan Association in Rutherfordton, N.C.
Centura Banks, Inc. sold approximately 776,000 shares in the offerings. The stock sold at $12.35 per share in the Subscription and Community offerings and $13 in the Public offering. "We're very pleased at the response to the stock offering," said J. Richard Futrell Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Centura Banks, Inc. "Citizens Federal is a high-quality institution and we're very excited about completing the merger." The Subscription and Community offerings were managed by Trident Securities Inc. of Raleigh, N.C.
