CENTRIFY DIRECTCONTROL NAMED "LINUX SECURITY PRODUCT OF YEAR".

Centrify Corporation, Mountain View, Calif., a provider of Microsoft Active Directory-centric identity management solutions for Linux, UNIX and Mac, announced that Centrify DirectControl 4 was named the Security Application Product of the Year by SearchEnterpriseLinux.com. The awards are given to products that best serve the needs of enterprise IT organizations. In naming Centrify the Gold winner, the editors noted, "Centrify Corp.'s DirectControl 4 makes it drop-dead simple to incorporate Linux, UNIX, Mac, Web and database platforms into a pre- existing Microsoft's Active Directory (AD) schema, enabling Linux administrators to eliminate redundant identity management systems and standardize on a single enterprise-wide identity management platform." The publication explained, "Awards were granted based on innovation, value, performance, reliability and ease of use."

"Centrify is delighted by this recognition from SearchEnterpriseLinux.com," said David McNeely, Director of Product Management at Centrify. "Our customers have adopted Centrify DirectControl because our reliability, ease of use, and technical leadership are helping them to increase their security, improve their IT efficiency and help comply with regulations. With this award and DirectControl's recent Windows IT Pro Editors' Choice award, we have been acknowledged by experts tracking both sides of the cross-platform environment."

Centrify DirectControl effectively turns a non-Microsoft server, workstation or device into an Active Directory client, enabling an organization to secure that system using the same authentication, access control and Group Policy services currently deployed for its Windows systems.
