 CELLULAR COMMUNICATIONS INTERNATIONAL APPOINTS WILLIAM COOPER
 DIRECTOR, TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING
 NEW YORK, May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Cellular Communications International, Inc. (CCII) (NASDAQ: CCIL) announced that William Cooper has joined the company and been appointed director, technology and engineering. Cooper will be responsible for technical and engineering elements of the company's activities, including investigations of new technologies applicable to wireless personal communications services.
 "We are pleased and delighted to have William join our company," said William Ginsberg, president and CEO. "His expertise and experience in RF engineering generally and in cellular specifically further strengthen CCII's capabilities and our commitment to international activities."
 Cooper comes to CCII from Cellular Communications, Inc. (CCI) and that company's joint venture with PacTel in Ohio-Michigan, for which he was managing the System Analysis Group. From 1989, when he joined CCI, to the formation of the joint venture, he had managed the Cellular RF Planning Group.
 Cooper received his BSc. (Hons) from the University of Wales in electrical and electronic engineering. He then joined Bell-Northern Research, where he worked on digital cellular transceiver design. Will served on the CTIA CDMA subcommittee and currently serves on the Wideband-Spread Spectrum subcommittee. He was recently elected chairman of the Northern Telecom Inc. (NTI) Cellular User Group.
 Cellular Communications International, Inc. focuses on the building of wireless communications businesses outside the United States. CCII was formerly a subsidiary of CCI. In July 1991, it was formally established as a separate company when its stock was distributed to shareholders of CCI.
