CELEBRATIONS: Celebrating... your competition wins.

A SKY BLUES fan has won a pounds 170 Virgin mobile after texting his views to the Evening Telegraph's letters page.

Father-of-three Matt Bryan, aged 38, was one of hundreds of readers who have sent mobile phone text messages to our letters page to give their views.

Mr Bryan, who works as a waste operative and lives in John Ward Street, Cheylesmore, texted the letters page several times last week to comment on the upcoming war, news and sport.

One of his texts commented on what he saw as the "disgraceful" decision of Coventry City FC to sack Trevor Peake.

Mr Bryan lives with his wife Jackie, aged 38, a creche worker, and the couple have three children Stephanie, aged 20, Sharmaine, aged 14, and Shannon, aged eight.

He said: "I'm really pleased to win and very surprised.

"I used the texting service quite a bit - it's great because you can get your message across more or less straight away and that's what I like about it."

To send your views to the letters page, text 07800 140 064 or to the sports pages, text 07800 140 063.

Each text message costs 7.5 pence.

o DES and Carol Fryers, of Hendre Close, Whoberley, have won a three-day holiday to Disneyland Paris with Harry Shaw.

But Mr Fryers is disabled and Harry Shaw has allowed them to pass the top prize to their son, Steve.

Mrs Fryers said Steve, aged 33, would be taking his girlfriend, Jennie Whatsize and her nine-year-old son, Steven, on the trip in September.

She said: "I'm very pleased to have won. It's quite a good prize. I've got two daughters and they would have jumped at it but Steve is still at home so he got first choice!"
