CELEBRATION FOR DELEGATOR.

WITH Sea The Stars and Mastercraftsman both tucked away at their Irish bases, the stage was clear for Delegator to delight on his Godolphin debut at Goodwood - and that he did with a dazzling display in the Celebration Mile.

The two giants of the Classic crop have been Delegator's bugbear this summer, with the Dansili colt finding himself up against two superstars when squaring up in the Guineas and St James's Palace Stakes. Godolphin moved in to acquire the colt from Brian Meehan's yard after his Ascot run, and he proved a worthy buy in this Group Two.

The 4-6 favourite quickened clear for a lengthand-a-half win under Frankie Dettori.
