CEDAR FAIR, L.P. DECLARES FIRST QUARTER CASH DISTRIBUTION

SANDUSKY, Ohio, March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Cedar Fair, L.P. (NYSE: FUN), a publicly traded partnership which owns and operates four seasonal amusement parks, has declared a regular quarterly cash distribution of $0.575 per unit, payable May 15, 1996, to holders of record April 3, 1996. This distribution continues the annualized distribution rate of $2.30 per unit.

Cedar Fair's four seasonal amusement parks are Cedar Point, located on Lake Erie between Cleveland and Toledo; Valleyfair near Minneapolis-St. Paul; Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom near Allentown, Pennsylvania; and Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun, located in Kansas City, Missouri.

According to Richard L. Kinzel, President and CEO, Worlds of Fun is scheduled to open April 13, while Cedar Point, Valleyfair and Dorney Park will open May 11, 1996. "With $30 million in capital improvements nearing completion, including Cedar Point's 'Mantis,' the world's tallest and fastest stand-up roller coaster, and Valleyfair's new steel super-coaster, 'Wild Thing,' we are looking forward to another successful season of providing the best in family entertainment," said Kinzel.
