CEAD students short films selected for international film festival.
HYDERABAD -- Three short films on social issues produced and directed by the students of Centre of Excellence in Art and Design (CEAD) Mehran University of Engineering and technology Jamshoro have been selected for screening in 60 Seconds International Film Festival to be held in next month.
The CEAD spokesman informed here on Friday that Rabab Zehra, Moheera Akram, Moeed Khan and Irfan Noor from department of Communication Design achieved this milestone by making the films on social issues.
The short film of Rabab Zehra titled 'Steps' is a stop motion animation on women harassment, courage and resistance. The message of shoes is that the different attitudes carried by two sets of shoes, how later overcomes an uncanny situation on the road side by taking a natural revenge against the former.
The short film of Moheera Akram titled 'Seen unseen' states that what is purpose of having eyes that can see but neglect bad things as it is unseen while Moeed Khan and Irfan Noor have jointly worked on the film titled 'Wandering'. The Wandering is a fiction story of an insect's life that comes on earth and faces various experiences but it becomes difficult to survive in polluted environment.
All the three short films will be screened in 60 Seconds International Film Festival to be held next month. The venue of the festival will be announced by the organizers shortly, the spokesman informed.
