COMPANY DESCRIPTION

CDR Pigments & Dispersions is a leading manufacturer of high quality dry and flushed pigments, presscake, aqueous dispersions and varnish for ink, plastic and paint applications. A supplier to more than 100 ink manufacturers, CDR also provides colorants to non-ink markets throughout the U.S., in Canada and in western Europe. Applications include coatings for paper and non-woven materials, and pigments for textile printing.

PRODUCTS' SCOPE

A full 99% of CDR's colorants are used by ink makers--more than any other pigment manufacturer. This provides a unique understanding of the importance to ink performance of grind, color development, tack, gloss and other properties. ISO certified, the company utilizes statistical process control methods to maintain the integrity of its products.

MAJOR PRODUCTS

Flushed colors: Fast-setting and high solids MagnaElite; high solids Magnaplus; conventional Magnaset; phenolic heatsets; maleic/hydrocarbon heatsets; soy news; and specialty flush colors such as rhodamines, green, carbazole and violet.

Dry pigments: Excellent gloss and tinctorial strength

Presscake: Low, medium and high solids

Varnishes: Gel, gloss, heatset and general

TECHNICAL MISSION

CDR is dedicated to providing high-quality pigments and color preparations for use in printing inks and other applications. Proprietary manufacturing developments have allowed the company to overcome industry issues such as color stability, color strength and product handling.

UNIQUE PRODUCTS

CDR is one of the few manufacturers of rhodamines, greens and other specialty colorants for use in printing inks.
