CCE Unveils Two Machine Innovations

Cellulose Converting Equipments, Sambuceto, Italy, recently unveiled two machine designs for the nonwovens and disposables industries.

The first is machinery to manufacture and pack disposable baby/adult bibs with a pocket. The bibs are available in several styles: one has a self-opening pocket and the others have a pocket that has to befolded "inside-out" for best results. The bibs can be fastened around the neck with resealable tape tabs or they can be fastened over the shoulders onto the clothing.

In the second new machine introduction, CCE has added boy/girl gender specific fluff pad construction features to its list of diaper machine options. The conventional diaper line forming drum produces two fluff webs, one wide and one narrow. The wide fluff web is now used as the base for the contoured diaper and the weight regulated narrow web is transferred to a second forming drum with individual vacuum pockets located above the wide fluff web as it exits the forming drum. The individual rectangular fluff pads are placed on the wide fluff web and the point of application determines the boy/girl product.
