CCAIR REPORTS TRAFFIC INCREASE FOR APRIL (d)

 CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- CCAIR, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: CCAR), an independent airline providing service as USAir Express in the southeast United States, reported performance results today for April 1993.
 Increases were reported for passenger volume 28.2 percent, revenue passenger miles 42.4 percent and available seat miles 31.1 percent compared to April 1992.
 New service to Panama City, Fla., and Columbus, Ga., was implemented in March and Lexington, Ky., and Huntsville, Ala., in May of this year.
 The carrier also announced that the National Mediation Board certified the International Brotherhood of Teamsters as the collective bargaining agent of its mechanics. The company anticipates that negotiations with the Teamsters Union will commence in the near future.
