CCAIR REPORTS SEPTEMBER TRAFFIC INCREASES

 CHARLOTTE, N.C., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- CCAIR, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: CCAR), an independent airline providing service as USAir Express in the southeast United States reported performance results today for September 1993.
 CCAIR reported increases on all traffic categories for September compared to September 1992. The most significant increase was revenue passenger miles up 17.2 percent. Other increases were average passenger miles up 17.0 percent and load factor 53.2 percent up 14.4 percent.
 For the quarter ended Sept. 30, 1993, passengers enplaned was down 8.2 percent compared to Sept. 30, 1992, which was overly inflated by last summer's industrywide fare discounts.
 For the first nine months of 1993 the company posted increases of 16.9 percent in revenue passenger miles compared to the same period in 1992.
