CBRE honors 'outstanding' effort.
The award, which is named in honor and in memory of one of the industry's most innovative and celebrated leaders, the late Edward S. Gordon, was presented by Stephen B. Siegel, Global Chairman of CB Richard Ellis.
"I feel very privileged to be presenting the first-ever Edward S. Gordon Award to David--one of the finest, most accomplished executives in the real estate industry today," said Mr. Siegel.
"His unique knowledge of the industry as well as his unsurpassed drive for excellence made him the perfect candidate for this honor."
The Edward S. Gordon award recognizes one outstanding real estate professional who exemplifies the attributes that its namesake himself held most dear: Excellence; Strong Work Ethic; and Creativity.
Over his 20-year career, Mr. Maurer-Hollaender has demonstrated a relentless drive to be the best, a commitment to continually challenge himself and those around him and a unique flair for the "art of the deal."
His body of work is highlighted by numerous noteworthy commercial real estate assignments throughout the United States including restructuring and arranging the sale of a 1.5 million square foot office park on behalf of AT&T; and designing and implementing an "off balance sheet" headquarters transaction for 1 million square feet at 550 Madison Avenue in New York City for SONY.
His clients have included some of the world's largest corporate services companies and institutional property owners such as American Express, Deutsche Bank, Colgate-Palmolive and J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
