CBO Issues Commemorative Coins on 45th National Day.
Muscat, Dec 8 (ONA) --- The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) issued four commemorative coins (2 gold & 2 silver) on the occasion of the 45th Glorious National Day 2015.
These coins are Legal Tender for their face value and may be purchased from the CBO. However, these prices are subject to change in accordance with the variations in the prices of the bullion in the International Market.
The distinctive features, specifications and indicative selling prices of these coins are detailed as follows: The obverse contains the Coat of Arms, the name of the country (Sultanate of Oman), the name of the Central Bank of Oman and Face Value in Arabic and English. The reverse contains two coins (gold & silver) depict coloured photo of His Majesty the Sultan and the other two (gold & silver) depict the 45th National Day coloured Logo.
The denomination of both the gold and silver coins is RO 1 whereas the price of the gold coins is RO 652 and the silver coins is RO 16. The diameter of the both gold and silver coins is 38.61 mm. The weight of the gold coin is 37.80 grm whereas it is 28.28 grm for the silver coin. The fineness of the gold coin is 0.916 while it is 0.999 for the silver coin.
