CBLX HOLDINGS INC. ANNOUNCES THE ACQUISITION OF
 ARIZONA VIDEO DUPLICATION INC.
DENVER, March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- CBLX Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: CBLX), today announced the acquisition of Arizona Video Duplication Inc. of Phoenix, for cash and stock as a wholly owned subsidiary.
Arizona Video commenced operations two years ago and had first fiscal year sales of $800,000 in 1990. Gross sales for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 1991, are in excess of $3,200,000. Anticipated sales for 1992 are between $5,000,000-$6,000,000. With room in its current building to double production capacity, Arizona Video anticipates adding another 500 tape decks to its current compliment of 500. In the first two years of business, the company has sold more than 5,000 entities ranging from Fortune 100 companies to individuals. The company has in excess of 3,000 master tapes in its vault, which encompasses a nationwide customer base and is expanding on a daily basis. With the master tape on site, Arizona Video is virtually guaranteed 100 percent of re-order business.
While VHS duplication represents the bulk of Arizona Video's business, the facility is also equipped to duplicate in Beta, MII, 8 mm, PAL, SEACAM, three-quarter- and 1-inch formats.
The company will maintain a close relationship with its former parent, VU Video, which imports VHS cassette shells from China and loads the type and precise length of tape required in its facilities in the United States. The source of raw stock results in a blank tape cost to Arizona Video around half of what its competitors are paying. Arizona Video Duplication Inc. has recently received significant orders from Taco Bell and the Rev. Robert Schuller for duplication of their video tapes.
CBLX Holdings Inc. currently provides products and services to the cable television industry, including control units and other cable television equipment.
