CENTERS FOR VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION SERVICES INC.
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- CBL Medical Inc. (NASDAQ: CBLM) announced today it has entered into a joint venture to establish Centers for Vocational Rehabilitation Services Inc. (CVRSI). The first center is scheduled to be opened in March 1992 with additional centers planned to be opened during 1992. Once it has been determined that a worker is unable to return to his or her pre-injury occupation, he or she is eligible for vocational rehabilitation benefits. CVRSI will specialize in the performance of vocational assessment and job placement for these workers. The segment of the workers' compensation market in which CVRSI will operate is estimated to be in excess of $1 billion annually in California.
Robert B. Mishkin, president of CBL, stat ?"With the establishment of CVRSI, CBL continues to execute its plan to become further involved in the total workers' compensation process. CBL is now able to provide pre-employment functional capacity testing; forensic reporting; medical treatment; post-injury functional capacity testing; and job assessment and placement."
CBL manages nine medical centers, four Work Simulation Centers and one Center for Vocational Rehabilitative Services.
