CBB development model highlighted.

MANAMA: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) superintendent of training and career development Hussein Shaheen took part for the second year in a row as a guest lecturer and workshop moderator at a seminar organised by the International Banking and Finance Institute (IBFI) of the Bank of France in the city of Marne-la-VallAe.

During the seminar, Mr Shaheen shared his views on the subject of employment and competency management, highlighting the CBB's model in this area and the experience gained in this field.

His presentation was received positively by the audience, and his choice of topics and management of the discussion added a lot of value to the material, IBFI director GArard BAduneau said.

Several trainees said that they benefited from a genuine transfer of knowledge and competencies from Mr Shaheen, particularly in the area of skills and management.

"I wanted to express my special thanks to the CBB for having agreed to Mr Shaheen's participation in this seminar together with our colleagues from Banque de France, the Deutsche Bundesbank and the European Central Bank," said Mr BAduneau.

"I am very happy about the fruitful co-operation between our two institutions," he said.

"The CBB is always keen to expand the areas of co-operation with international financial and banking institutions to include those which have the expertise and capabilities of advanced training such as the IBFI of the Bank of France," said CBB executive director of corporate services Dr Huda Maskati.
