CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. announced that Theodore (Ted) Carter, executive managing director of CBRE's Public Institutions and Education Solutions Group, has taken a leadership role in the company's African American Network Group (AANG).

Carter joins Eric Yarbro, a senior vice president in CBRE's Midtown Manhattan office and the founder of AANG, as a co-chairman of AANG, one of the commercial real estate industry's first affinity groups for African-American professionals.

In his current position Carter leads CB Richard Ellis' efforts to deliver real estate solutions to government and public sector clients in the Americas. Prior to assuming that role in early 2008, he served in a management capacity as the CB Richard Ellis' South Florida market leader, responsible for four offices, all lines of business and successfully expanded the company's marketplace penetration, branding and civic leadership, to include the acquisition of Blackrock Property Advisors.
