 CATERPILLAR, UAW TO CONTINUE NEGOTIATIONS MAY 5 & 7
 WASHINGTON, May 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Bernard E. DeLury, director of


the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS), issued the following statement on completion of the negotiation meeting in St. Louis on Thursday evening, April 30:
 Representatives of the United Autoworkers Union and Caterpillar, Inc., met for six hours in the FMCS district office in St. Louis today. They discussed issues in the dispute between them. They agreed upon a schedule for future meetings.
 The parties have agreed to meet with FMCS mediators again on Tuesday, May 5, in Peoria, Ill., and on Thursday, May 7, in St. Louis, to continue these contract discussions.
 The meetings in Peoria and St. Louis will be held at FMCS offices in those locations.
