CATALINA LIGHTING ANNOUNCES NEW BANK CREDIT LINE

CATALINA LIGHTING ANNOUNCES NEW BANK CREDIT LINE
MIAMI, June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Catalina Lighting, Inc. (AMEX: LTG)

today announced the signing of a new $50 million revolving credit line with a group of banks including Sun Bank, Citizen's Fidelity, and National Canada Finance Corp. (an affiliate of The National Bank of Canada).
The one-year facility replaces and expands upon the company's previous $45 million bank line of credit, which was due to mature on June 30, 1992.
"With this expanded line of bank credit available, we are well- positioned to supply the lighting fixture requirements of retailers throughout the U.S. and Canada as the economy recovers," commented Robert Hersh, the company's chairman and CEO. "Although Catalina has not completed its third fiscal quarter, many retailers have reported disappointing Spring sales (partly due to continued unseasonably cool weather) and this may have some impact upon our third quarter revenues and profits. However, we expect favorable year-to-year earnings comparisons to continue for the next several quarters."
Catalina Lighting, Inc. is a premier supplier of high-quality, affordably priced residential and office lighting products, which are imported from independent manufacturers in the Far East and Canada. The company is headquartered in Miami and has warehouse/distribution facilities in Texas, California, and Massachusetts. Its shares are traded on the American Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "LTG."
