CASH HAVEN; Care home investors are joining a 'silver' goldrush.

BRITAIN is facing a "silver" care crisis, but on Teesside - base for the largest care home group in the country - it's presented a golden business opportunity.

That's not to say there are quick bucks to be made out of our increasingly slow demise - as Darlington Southern Cross's recent difficulties demonstrate.

Nevertheless, an estimated one in four of us will be over 65 by 2031 and someone has to provide the public health care system with a crutch.
