CASH BOOST.

This has been a year of celebration for the InnerWheel of Strathendrick, marking the club's 40th anniversary.

The highlight recently was a sell out jazz night and supper with entertainment from the Allander Jazz Band. The proceeds of PS1,200 from the event were donated to Start-Up Stirling in support of the emergency food bank.

Club President Janet Dow presented the cheque to Start-Up Stirling's co-ordinator Linda Sterry. Also present was local liaison, former Stirling Provost Colin O'Brien and club treasurer Sally Macfarlane.

Janet said:"We were pleased to select Start-up Stirling as our Anniversary Charity as we realise that at times of difficulty, families in rural areas LIKEWEST Stirlingshire can be just as vulnerable and in need of support as those in towns and cities.

Linda said:"This incredibly generous donation will really help support our work, particularly in the more rural parts of Stirlingshire where we deliver vital food bank support each week."

The InnerWheel of Strathendrick meets at THEWINNOCK Hotel, Drymen and new members are assured of a warm welcome. The club resumes monthly meetings ONWEDNESDAY September 12. Further information is available from 01360 550531.
