CASEY COMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT NAMED ONE OF NATION'S TOP PUBLIC AFFAIRS FIRMS

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Casey Communications Management, Inc. has been named one of "Six Hot (Regional) Public Affairs Agencies" in the most recent issue of inside PR, the national magazine covering the public relations business.
The firm specializes in crisis management, environmental issues, investor relations, urban and minority affairs, spokesperson counseling/media training, and public relations for the health-care and automotive industries.
"Casey Communications Management has developed a national public affairs practice that rates among the industry's best," says the inside PR article. "The agency continues to do good, thoughtful work in several areas, to pick up interesting, high-profile assignments and to focus on its own quality control and client service."
Casey Communications Management's president and CEO, Jeffrey R. Caponigro, said: "We are very pleased, of course, to be chosen as one of the nation's top public affairs firms. We're fortunate to work with some of the Midwest's largest and most successful corporations. Several clients and prospects have told us that our client roster resembles a 'who's who of Michigan businesses,' and we're very proud of that."
Caponigro said the honor is most gratifying since the Detroit-area economy has suffered to a greater degree than the other markets represented on the list of leading firms (San Francisco, Austin, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Chicago). "The continued downturn in the economy has hurt nearly every business, and ours is certainly no exception. However, we've worked hard to continually improve as public relations counselors, maintain the highest quality standards, and exceed the expectations of our clients," he said.
Current clients include Comerica Incorporated, Century 21, Compuware Corporation, Ameritech Cellular and Paging, 3M Corporation, Masco Corporation, R.L. Polk & Co., Kelly Services, Inc., and Holnam Inc. (North America's largest cement manufacturer). The company has also completed major projects during the past year for Michigan Bell, AAA Michigan, Consumers Power, and the American auto industry's coalition (Traffic Safety Now, Inc.) to increase safety-belt use throughout the United States.
"In addition, a significant amount of our work is crisis-related and, due to the sensitive nature of the work, we cannot disclose the names of those clients," Caponigro said.
Casey Communications Management, Inc. is the Michigan office of Shandwick, one of the world's largest public relations organizations. Shandwick operates 100 public relations offices in North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, and is based in London. Its North American headquarters is in New York City.
