CARROLL PUBLISHING RELEASES FIRST-EVER GUIDE TO RUSSIAN LEADERSHIP

WASHINGTON, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The publication of "RUSSIAN Government Today," a comprehensive directory of key Russian governmental and business decision-makers, was announced today by Washington-based Carroll Publishing Company.
According to Publisher Thomas E. Carroll, "Today's Russia is a gold mine of new business opportunities. But the government still owns and manages virtually everything in the country and the bureaucracy can be overwhelming. The problem is compounded by the country's unsettled leadership situation.
"`RUSSIAN Government Today' marks the first time that the actual names, titles, office addresses and phone numbers of important Russian officials have been made available in a single source anywhere. Previously, even in Russia, information like this was published only in internal office directories."
"RUSSIAN Government Today" lists more than 7,300 officials active in Russian government and business affairs. Coverage includes:
 -- The Supreme Soviet (Parliament)
-- The Congress of People's Deputies
-- The Administration of the President
 -- Ministries, agencies and committees
-- Provincial and Moscow City governments
 -- Leading academics and foundations
 -- Stock exchanges and banks
 -- Business associations
Name and keyword indexes facilitate access to the main organizational listings.
To ensure currency, the directory will be completely revised and updated every six months.
Each one-year subscription includes two volumes -- the current edition plus an updated edition issued in six months.
"RUSSIAN Government Today" is produced jointly by Carroll Publishing Company and The International Center. Senior Editor Dr. Igor Oleynik is a former advisor to the Soviet and Russian governments, a renowned expert in Russian business and legal affairs, and now a consultant to American companies doing business in Russia.
Founded in 1974, Carroll Publishing Company produces the highly- regarded GOVERNMENT Executive Directories. The International Center, also based in Washington, has long been involved in efforts to improve U.S.-Russian relations.
The directory carries an annual subscription price of $195. For further information, contact:
