NEW YORK, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- American Stock Exchange announced today that Carolina Financial Corporation of Charleston, S.C., began trading 805,000 shares of common stock. Trading under ticker symbol CF, the stock opened on 100 shares at 12.
The company previously traded in the NASDAQ National Market System under the symbol HFSB.
Carolina Financial is a bank holding company. Its principal subsidiary is Home Federal Savings Bank, a federally chartered and insured savings bank, operating three full-service offices in Charleston, S.C.
For the year ended Sept. 30, 1991, the company reported a record net income of $1.5 million, or $1.92 per share, compared with net income of $1.3 million, or $1.56 per share for the same period ended Sept. 30, 1990. Net interest income for this period was $5.3 million vs. $4.8 million.
