 CAROL SEWELL APPOINTED DIRECTOR OF NATIONA ?PUBLICITY
 FOR MOTION PICTURE GROUP OF PARAMOUNT PICTURES
 HOLLYWOOD, Feb. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Carol Sewell has been appointed director of national publicity for the Motion Picture Group of Paramount Pictures, it was announced today.
 Sewell will be responsible for the implementation of national publicity strategies for all films released by the group, as well as day-to-day supervision of staff publicists in Los Angeles. She reports directly to Blaise Noto, vice president, national publicity.
 "Carol's long relationship with Paramount and her outstanding work in publicizing our features make her the ideal person to join our team," Noto said.
 Before joining Paramount, Sewell was president of Abramson Entertainment in Washington, D.C., where her duties included the publicity campaigns of film studios including Paramount, the development of new business, and other fiscal responsibilities.
 Prior to that, she was vice president of Abramson Entertainment since 1988, responsible for the day-to-day field activity for Paramount, 20th Century Fox, MGM and Samuel Goldwyn, which included managing a staff of account executives for entertainment-related clients.
 Earlier, Sewell served as an account exec for Abramson, responsible for publicity and promotion for Paramount and New Century Vista in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and in Richmond and Norfolk, Va.
 Paramount publicity campaigns that Sewell has been involved with include "Wayne's World," "The Addams Family," "Juice," "Dead Again," "The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear," "The Godfather Part III," "Ghost," "The Hunt for Red October," "Major League" and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade."
 Before her association with Abramson Entertainment, Sewell served in a number of public and media relations capacities in the Washington, D.C. area. She began her career in the office of United States Sen. Charles McC. Mathias, Jr.
