CARDOSO NAMED VICE PRESIDENT, MEDIA RELATIONS, FOR PARAMOUNT TELEVISION GROUP

 HOLLYWOOD, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Trisha Cardoso has been named to the newly created post of vice president, media relations, for the Paramount Television Group, it was announced today by John A. Wentworth, senior vice president, media relations. In her new capacity, Cardoso will report to Wentworth and coordinate publicity for the group's network and domestic television divisions.
 In making the announcement, Wentworth said, "We are delighted to have Trisha's expertise at Paramount. The relationship she has developed working with our executives and our talent while in an agency position are invaluable."
 Cardoso, 30, most recently served as vice president, entertainment marketing for Burson-Marsteller, a public relations film. She was responsible for managing the Mahoney Communications division, overseeing all entertainment accounts including the Paramount series "Cheers," "The Arsenio Hall Show," "Frasier", "Bob" and "Wings"; Universal Television's "Northern Exposure" and "Law & Order"; Twentieth Television's "L.A. Law"; Aaron Spelling Production's "Melrose Place"; and personalities Chris Rock, Regina Taylor and Stephen Baldwin. Her corporate entertainment accounts included Philips Consumer Electronics and Coca Cola. Additional accounts during her tenure at Burson- Marsteller included producers Josh Brand and John Falsey, the 1991 Grammy Awards and the six-hour TNT mini-series "MGM: When the Lion Roars."
 Cardoso joined Burson-Marsteller in 1991 when the firm acquired Mahoney Communications where she was director of television. During her three-year tenure at Mahoney Communications (formerly Mahoney/Wasserman PR) Cardoso developed and executed campaigns for network, syndicated and cable series and specials. Her projects included "Dynasty," "thirtysomething," Paramount's syndicated "War of the Worlds" and Arnold Shapiro's critically acclaimed "Raising Good Kids in Bad Times," TNT's "Night Breaker" telefilm.
 Prior to joining Mahoney, Cardoso worked in the public relations group of Showtime Networks Inc., where she assisted on promotional campaigns for telefilms, comedy series and music and variety specials, including "It's Garry Shandling's Show," "Brothers," "Dionne Warwick and Friends" and Shelley Duvall's "Faerie Tale Theater."
 Cardoso graduated with honors from the University of California at Los Angeles.
