CAPITAL IS AULD REEKING.
The people of Edinburgh are Britain's least houseproud, according to a study.
Just 59 per cent of people in the capital say they keep their home as dust-free as possible.
In Britain's most house-proud city, Birmingham, 80 per cent of householders claimed their home is always spick and span.
It was followed by Leeds and Liverpool and London in joint third, with Glasgow coming in 10th.
The research also revealed a list of signs you are house proud, including buying fresh flowers for your home every week and avoiding sitting on the sofa before guests arrive.
It found that 40 per cent of those who were polled admitted they got a "buzz" out of cleaning.
