CANTON TIRE RECYCLING CORP. EXPECTS TO DOUBLE GROWTH

SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Canton Tire Recycling Corp. ("CTRC"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Canton Industrial Corp., has entered into an agreement with a Chicago-based company whereby CTRC anticipates collecting between 860,000 and 1,400,000 tires per year for processing through its facility in Canton, Ill.
Canton Industrial Corp. is a rapidly growing company in the tire recycling industry. The company has opened one indoor tire recycling facility in Canton and is currently collecting tires and expects to begin shredding by March of 1993. Canton Industrial Corp. also plans to open several facilities across the country. Canton Industrial Corp. is listed on the Boston Exchange under the symbol CNI.
Alan Hansen, the vice president of the corporation, stated his optimism concerning this new development. He indicated that this single agreement represents half of CTRC expected growth for 1993, and that he now believes that the company may be able to nearly double projected growth for the year.
