CANON ANNOUNCES NEW PROJECTORS.

Canon Middle East announced the addition of five projectors to its LV range, including its brightest ever model -- LX MU700. The new models are designed to meet the varying requirements of customers and integrators, particularly within the business and education environments, thanks to improved connectivity, high brightness and flexible installation capabilities.

Canon also launched two new professional presenters -- the PR100 and PR1000, which provide class leading design and functionality to suit any presentation need.

Canon's brightest dual lamp projector

The LXA[degrees]MU700 is Canon's brightest WUXGA installation projecA[degrees] tor to date, offering 7,500 lumens when both lamps are in use, ideal for environments such as large auditoriums where there are high levels of ambient light. In addition, dual lamp functionA[degrees] ality offers higher levels of reliability and if one lamp fails, the projector can continue to operate in single lamp mode.

The LXA[degrees]MU700 also supports seven interchangeable lenses -- ranging from short fixed to ultraA[degrees]long -- enabling integrators to choose the lens best suited to the projection distance and enviA[degrees] ronment, allowing for outstanding accuracy and installation flexibility. The device is supported by two, sixA[degrees]colour wheels optimised for brightness or colour, making it ideal for installaA[degrees] tions where the use of video content or computer graphics is required. For easeA[degrees]ofA[degrees]use, the LXA[degrees]MU700 also allows ten sets of focus, zoom and lens position settings to be stored.

Improved connectivity

The latest LX models support HDBaseT, a new standard for conA[degrees] nectivity, allowing the transmission of HD media, audio and control signals over long distances via a single LAN cable. The LAN cable can span up to 100m, greatly improving convenience in system configuration and supporting information sharing.

Two of the new models, the LVA[degrees]WX310ST and LVA[degrees]X310ST, also have MHL capabilities allowing users to project images from compatible tablets or smartphones via a HDMI port. This is ideal for enhancing engagement in presentation scenarios -- whether in the classroom or in the boardroom.

Class leading professional presenters

The PR100A[degrees]RC is Canon's premium professional presenter designed to suit any presentation need thanks to a bright LCD display and strong laser strength. A large operating range means the presenter can be 15m away from the PC to allow for effortless mobility.

The PR 100A[degrees]RC also supports a wide variety of presentation software including PowerPoint, Adobe Reader, Keynote and Preview. Setting up is also quick and easy requiring insertion of the USB into the PC to connect seamlessly with iOS and Windows devices. With the Smart Presentation function, with a touch of a button users can switch to a black screen to divert audience attention to the speaker.

Three-year warranty

All the new models are supported by Canon's threeA[degrees]year lamp warranty.

All the new models will be available from January 2016. The new professional presenters models will be available from April 2016.
