CANADA SOUTHERN TO SELL ITS INTEREST IN PROBE

CALGARY, Alberta, April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Canada Southern Petroleum Ltd. (PSE, Toronto: CSW) said today it has agreed to sell its 31 percent stake in Probe Exploration Inc. (Alberta: PRX) for approximately $1 million (Canadian).
The stock will be sold to Probe's executive vice president, Stephen P. Gibson, and several of his associates, the company said, noting that several conditions must be satisfied before the sale can be consummated.
Canada Southern President Charles J. Horne said his company acquired the Probe interest about three years ago in exchange for authorized-but- unissued Canada Southern limited voting stock.
Inasmuch as Canada Southern is debt-free, the proceeds of the Probe sale, when consummated, will be added to the company's working capital, Horne said.
