CAMPBELL SOUP ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE TEAM TO 'SEIZE THE FUTURE'

 CAMDEN, N.J., June 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) today announced a reorganization of its senior management which President and CEO David W. Johnson said "will focus our broad array of executive talent on building and driving a truly global branded powerhouse."
 "This reorganization opens the way for top-flight managers to refine and expand their responsibilities in pursuing strategic opportunities. We are also applying additional executive leadership to our international initiatives," Johnson said.
 Under the reorganization:
 -- F. Marty Thrasher, 42, sector vice president, Soup, has been named president, U.S. Soup, responsible for Campbell's flagship business, including "Chunky," "Home Cookin'," "Healthy Request," and the famous "Campbell's" brands. Thrasher will also have responsibility for Campbell's sales force.
 -- Alfred Poe, 44, sector vice president, Condiments & Sauces, becomes president, Meal Enhancement Group, responsible for such brands as "Vlasic" pickles, "Prego" spaghetti sauce, "Marie's" salad dressing, "Open Pit" barbecue sauce and new responsibility for Campbell's Food Service Division.
 -- Kathleen MacDonnell, 44, sector vice president, Frozen Foods, has been named president of the Frozen Foods Group, responsible for the "Swanson," "Le Menu" and "Mrs. Paul's Kitchens" brands.
 -- Robert F. Bernstock, 42, president and CEO of Campbell Soup Company Ltd (Canada), becomes president, International Soup, adding to his existing Canadian responsibilities Campbell's businesses in Mexico, Australia, Hong Kong and China, as well as responsibility for global marketing initiatives.
 -- Robert Subin, 55, president, Europe/Asia, has been named president, International Specialty Foods, with continued responsibility for Campbell's European, Japanese and Confectionery businesses, and new responsibility for the major Argentina business.
 -- Francis A. DuVernois, 60, vice president, Campbell North and South America Operations, becomes vice president, Global Operations.
 -- Gary S. Moss, 44, vice president, Marketing Communications, is appointed vice president, Global Advertising.
 Each of the new appointees will report directly to Johnson.
