CAMELOT DIVERSIFIES INTO EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE

DALLAS, Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Camelot Corporation (NASDAQ: CAML) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Camelot Entertainment, Inc., has entered into an agreement with a specialist educational computer software company to custom design a comprehensive range of Children's Educational Software to be marketed under Camelot's own brand name "Professor Nozall." This new range, which will be introduced by Camelot in January 1994, is a diversification for Camelot Entertainment which has previously been focused on children's videos marketed through supermarkets and drug stores. The Professor Nozall educational computer software range will be marketed with no limiting licensing restrictions.
Initially, 15 titles will be introduced in both MS-DOS and Windows format and will cover English Grammar, English Vocabulary, Science, U.S. Geography, World Geography, U.S. History, World History and Mathematics and be suitable for grades one through eight. Additional titles will be introduced in the second quarter of 1994. "The Professor Nozall educational computer software range will be marketed at a recommended retail selling price of $9.99 per title, which compares with similar quality products on the market at retail prices ranging from $30 to $60 per title," said Danny Wettreich, chairman and chief executive officer of Camelot. It is estimated that total retail expenditures for educationally related computer software in 1993 will be $750 million.
Within the next few weeks, Camelot will complete the production and creation of "Professor Nozall," a humorous children's educational character intended to appeal to the younger market and created for Camelot by a Los Angeles based animation studio. Also to be introduced in January, 1994 will be a Professor Nozall Educational Video Series consisting of 12 video tapes offering basic learning skills for the 3 to 9 year age group.
"The combination of an Educational Computer Software range and an Educational Video Series under the Professor Nozall brand will, I believe, generate significant revenue for Camelot in 1994," said Wettreich.
Camelot is a holding company with operating subsidiaries in video and computer software marketing, financial services and energy.
