CAMA ON FOCUSES ON TECHNICAL MARKETING TOPICS

Like so many other pockets of the agricultural industry, we are remaining flexible and agile as our business environments change.

This year CAMA Ontario has put a focused effort to make sure we deliver programming that works for our membership in a form that works best for them. We began the calendar year with a 3-part webinar series hitting key topics of digital marketing. Thanks to the following speakers who shared their insights on the following topics:

* Think Shift--Lead Generation--Website user-experience and lead conversion.

* Kate Mercer--Picking the right social channel.

* NetBase Solutions--The five Hottest Trends in Social Analytics

In 2017, we are shifting our programming to include more events that are short of time away from the office but high on impact. Our Canadian members have busy schedules and our goal is to be mindful of their daily professional obligations while we offer quality technical marketing information.

CABEF RAISES NEARLY $100,000 IN 2016

The Canadian agricultural industry rallied in support of the Canadian Agri-Business Education Foundation (CABEF) raising $98,338 in 2016. CABEF awards six $2,500 scholarships annually to students enrolling in an agricultural university or college in Canada.

Fundraising efforts in conjunction with Best of CAMA raised $42,642 from live and silent auctions, and the Wall of Wine raffle for 24 bottles of wine. Other donations were made in cash, auction items and donated advertising space to promote the CABEF scholarship application deadline and the announcement of the scholarship recipients.

"I want to thank the Canadian agricultural industry for their generous support of CABEF," said Rod Merryweather, Chairman of the board for CABEF. "These scholarships help to support the future of our great agricultural industry."
