CALVERT CLIFFS EMERGENCY EXERCISE SLATED FOR AUG. 18
CALVEX '92, the annual emergency response exercise at Baltimore

Gas & Electric Company's (NYSE: BGE) Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, will be conducted 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.
The exercise will be evaluated by BG&E and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
About 125 plant employees and representatives from state and county agencies will participate in CALVEX '92. BG&E and the NRC will evaluate the plant's performance in responding to a set of simulated emergency conditions, as well as the overall effectiveness of the plant's emergency response plan.
BG&E conducts additional emergency plan training exercises throughout the year. To enhance the level of realism, exercise scenario details are kept confidential until the event begins.
The NRC is expected to report its evaluation results within 30 days. BG&E's evaluation and post-exercise critiques help the company ensure the emergency plan remains highly effective and that appropriate levels of training are being provided to response team members.
The exercise will not interfere with normal operating activities at the plant.
