 LOS ANGELES, July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- REALTORS Pat Neal, of Garden


Grove and Ed Albers, of Sacramento have been elected to top leadership positions with the California Association of REALTORS (C.A.R.), the association announced today.
 They will join Walt McDonald, a Riverside REALTOR, who was elected 1993 president last July and currently is president-elect of the 130,000-member statewide trade group. McDonald will succeed current C.A.R. President Chuck Lamb in mid-November and will serve a one-year term.
 McDonald has been a C.A.R. member since 1964 and a C.A.R. director since 1971. He also has been an N.A.R. director since 1986. He was named Honorary Director for Life by C.A.R. in 1988.
 At both the state and national levels, he has played leadership roles on numerous committees, including Real Estate Finance; Legislative; Pension and Retirement Investment; and California Real Estate Political Action Committee (CREPAC) Trustees.
 At the local level, McDonald has been president and treasurer of both the Riverside Area Board of REALTORS and the Riverside County Real Estate Council. He was named REALTOR of the Year by the Riverside Area Board in 1971.
 He has been owner and operator of Walt McDonald Real Estate in Riverside for the past 23 years.
 Neal, who will serve a one-year term as president-elect, has been a C.A.R. member since 1973. She served as president of the West Orange County Association of REALTORS in 1980 and was named that group's REALTOR of the Year in 1981 and 1983.
 Neal has served on numerous committees since joining C.A.R.'s board of directors in 1977, including Long Range Planning; Multiple Listing Service; Real Estate Finance; and Federal Issues. She also has worked on several committees at the national level, including Legislative; Real Estate Finance; and Taxation. She has been a director of the National Association of REALTORS (N.A.R.) since 1985.
 Neal owns Pat Neal Associates, a residential real estate brokerage firm in Garden Grove. She has owned the firm (formerly named Copper Penny Real Estate) since 1980.
 Albers, who was re-elected as the Association's treasurer, is owner of Ridgepoint Realty in Sacramento. He has been active in organized real estate since 1960, when he joined the San Jose Real Estate Board. He was named the board's REALTOR of the Year in 1972.
 Albers has served on C.A.R.'s Budget & Finance Committee for six years and as a C.A.R. director from 1962 to 1985, when he was named C.A.R. Honorary Director for Life. At the national level, he served as an N.A.R. Director from 1981 to 1986.
 In 1983, Albers moved his company to Sacramento and joined the Sacramento Association of REALTORS.
 Joel Singer was re-elected executive vice president and state secretary of the Association. Singer has held C.A.R.'s top staff position since November 1989. He previously served as chief economist and headed the Association's Public Affairs Department.
 The officers were elected last Saturday (July 11) during a meeting of the Association's board of directors in San Francisco.
 The California Association of REALTORS is a statewide trade association with 130,000 members dedicated to the advancement of professionalism in real estate. C.A.R. is headquartered in Los Angeles.
